Valentine's Lock Screen (& 21 Martyrs Tribute)

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! This week, I offer a Valentine's Lock Screen to you, my readers. Well, two lock screens. Both lock screens feature the verse from the first epistle of St. John where he writes, "He who does not love does not know God for God is love."We recently passed the first anniversary of the deaths of 21 Coptic men by beheading on the beach in Libya. These men left their hometowns to labor for money to send home to their families. They died with the name of Jesus Christ on their lips. This week's lock screen is a reminder that those who live without love do not know God. The God of our fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac, is Love Himself.Let us honor the martyrs who died for Christ by aligning ourselves to the cause of Love. Let us fight our enemy with love. Let extraordinary love be the legacy of these 21 courageous men.The first lock screen is very simple. Twenty-one hearts arranged above the verse to remind us that love is not romance. Love is not flowers and chocolate. Love is sacrifice. Like the one Christ made for the sake of our salvation, and the one these men made for the sake of Christ. If you're not into the conceptual nature of the first, the second features the same verse over the dawn sky taken from an airplane. Both will help us remember this week to sacrifice for the sake of our God and for each other in the name of Love.Enjoy this Valentine's Lock Screen and Happy Valentine's Day!
