If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that the Hope Association is raising money for two incredible mobile health clinics to serve children in the Washington, D.C. area and in Los Angeles who don’t have access to or income for basic health care.
Last Saturday, September 10, the next step of this amazing journey began! Levi Rizk, a Coptic ultramarathon runner and doctor, began a 100 day and 3,000 mile journey across the United States of America to raise awareness and funds.
I swiped the map of his expected route, and you can see it below:
Now you might ask yourself — Levi is running 3,000 miles, but how can I help?
First, HOPE created this super cool app called “Run for Hope” which is available in the app store that allows you to send messages of encouragement directly to Levi and to keep up with his every step!! It’s a beautiful app that brings the different social media streams together for your easy access!
Second, give to HOPE through their pledge program. If these RVs are going to turn into tiny little doctor’s offices for the precious children of those two cities, HOPE needs to completely rework the interiors and load them up with all the needed equipment. Can you imagine being part of this service? Knowing that you had a hand in bringing this service to life? What a blessing!!
Then, HOPE is doing these insane One Mile Challenges within the app. Join Levi in spirit by running your own mile!! It’s crazy!! People are running 5 minute miles!! I’m over here like falling over just crossing my living room. AND you can challenge your friends too — a little healthy (get it??) competition.
Finally, if you want to learn more about the journey and about Levi, here are some awesome write-ups in the press!!
