His Love Endures Forever

Our God is pretty incredible. His faithfulness is beyond comprehension; His forgiveness--beyond measure.

We're human, so we fall, we fail. He's God, so when He sees us rise and join Him again, He drenches us with blessings.

I speak, of course, from personal experience. When God and I fight (i.e. I do something stupid and turn away, then realize my stupidity and turn back.), He gives me presents.

I know! Wild! I wouldn't give myself anything but the silent treatment.

You'd think that at some point human beings would anticipate this. After all the times God has not only taken us back but loved us even stronger on our return, we would be a little less surprised when it happens.

When did David beget Solomon? AFTER he fell. When did Peter become "the rock"? After denying Christ three times! When did the prodigal son get the fatted calf? After squandering his inheritance!

When a person rises from a fall and reunites with Christ wholeheartedly, God says, "Here you go :D :D :D!"

I guess that's what "amazing grace" really is. I'm so grateful to have been on the receiving end of this divine love before, to have had the chance to experience it for myself, to know it to be the 100% verified behavior of our wonderful God.
