I have made the earth, and created man on it. I–My hands–stretched out the heavens, and all their host I have commanded. Isaiah 45:12
Being a parent means enjoying our little Za2zu2 discovering herself… discovering her hands… then her little tasty toes… and her voice. She would sit for nearly half an hour at a time cooing and babbling… hitting all the vowels and each day more and more of the consonants.
But the truth is that we should all be that much in awe of what we can do as human beings created by God in His image. I tried that cooing, babbling thing in the car with her today. I did my scales (off-key… but Za2zu2 didn’t mind). I sang the alphabet to a million different tunes. How the voice box and the tongue and the teeth and the cheeks all work together to make so so many different sounds!
Thank you, God, for making even our temporary earthly bodies so amazing! Let us use our physical abilities always to glorify your name!
